Breeza is located about 45 kilometres south of Gunnedah on the Kamilaroi Highway and the North-West railway line, close to where it crosses the Mooki River. Breeza is also located in the Liverpool Plains agricultural region, the area around Breeza is known as the 'Breeza Plains'.
The aboriginal name for Breeza means "one hill".
Enveloped in the sweeping Breeza plains is the birthplace of infamous bushranger - with a gentlemanly charm - Ben Hall. A mural stands in the heart of Breeza to commemorate Ben Hall's final years set against "those wild colonial days" of yesteryear.
The Breeza War Memorial is a granite memorial with marble name plaques, surmounted by the remnants of a machine gun. Ornate, with coloured Australian national and Union Jack flags combined with laurel wreath inlay.
