Riverview Tourist Village is located four minutes from the Post Office on Victoria Highway on the road west to Kununurra. The “Katherine Hot Springs” are just a short walk from our back gate; ease away your aches and pains, have a dip before breakfast or at the end of your day after exploring Nitmiluk National Park (Katherine Gorge).

Katherine Hot Springs is located at the back of our park on the banks of the Katherine River. This shady, spring fed, thermal pool is an ideal and safe swimming area, great for soaking your tired muscles. The hot springs are well grassed with shady spots and sunbathing areas, just right for a picnic.

Katherine Low Level Nature Reserve is accessible via our back gate and is a three minute stroll away on a bitumen walkway. It features open shady parkland and easy access to the river - ideal for swimming and fishing.

Katherine Museum houses interesting displays on the pastoral, World War II, communications and early history of the town and the region. The most notable exhibit is the original Gypsy Moth that was flown by Dr Clyde Fenton, the first flying doctor.

Cutta Cutta Caves are located 30 kilometres from Riverview. The caves formed 500 million years ago and are still growing today. The limestone cave formations are about 15 metres below the earth’s surface and are home to the rare Orange Horseshoe and Ghost Bats.

Edith Falls offer a nice days’ outing, 63 kms from Riverview. Edith Falls comprises a series of falls on the edge of the Arnhem Land escarpment that run all year round. The main fall runs into the Sweetwater Pool, fringed by pandanus trees. A loop walk takes visitors to the top of the falls.
