Kurrimine Beach is an unspoilt tropical holiday destination. The spirit and hospitality of old North Queensland is still alive in this picturesque fishing hamlet. The quiet, long, beach alongside King Reef is the main attraction and it’s here that you can see Manta Rays trawling the beach shallows and turtles coming in to nest. Pick up a fresh coconut from the palms that line the beach or for the more adventurous go in search of the famous King Reef Painted Cray. Our small town boasts a winery, a beachfront pub, a cafe, a post office, petrol station & general store.

Activities at Kurrimine Beach Holiday Park

The beauty of this region is that you can enjoy an intimate visit without the crowds - designed by nature to be explored - National Parks, walking trails, waterfalls and beaches offer endless possibilities.

With about 75% of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area in this region take the opportunity to immerse yourself in nature. With the World Heritage status this region is a sanctuary for native wildlife from brightly coloured insects like the Ulysses butterfly to shy mammals. It is also a bird watchers paradise with nearly half of Australia’s birds found in the Wet Tropics.

The Great Barrier Reef is the largest, most spectacular coral reef system in the world. Giant clams, turtles and array of colourful fish can be seen when you snorkel or dive though its coral gardens. With King Reef just off our beach (approx 800m) we have the added benefit of being able to walk out to explore the reef on very low tides. This unique opportunity is only available for a few months of the year.
