Dongara Tourist Park is located in Port Denison, 3 kms south of the unique township of Dongara. It is also conveniently located on South Beach, Dongara Tourist Park is just minutes from the new Indian Ocean Drive and the Brand Highway. The marina, shops, bakery, cafe, bar and restaurants are within walking distance from your cabin, caravan or tent.
The ocean views are endless! Dongara Tourist Park offers cabin accommodation, both one and two bedroom deluxe cabins. They are truly a hidden treasure! The two bedroom cabins boast rare spectacular views of the Indian Ocean and all cabins are fully ensuited and self-contained with reverse cycle air-conditioning.
Dongara Tourist Park also offers a range of both powered and unpowered sites for caravans, campers and tents. Some sites are nestled amongst trees and bushes close to the sand dunes. Other sites are NEW large double slabbed for the large fifth wheelers and caravans.
There is so much to do when staying at Dongara Tourist Park. Some of the things you can include golfing, fishing, boating, surfing, swimming, diving and snorkelling, historical site-seeing, motocross, lawn bowls, skating at the skate park, shopping, dining at the cafes and restaurants and enjoying a rock Lobster, a Port Denison/ Dongara speciality.
Dongara/Denison has the annual Blessing of The Fleet and Midwest Food Festival every November to celebrate the start of the Crayfishing Season. A fantastic weekend to be in town with markets and fireworks on the Saturday night.
Kitestock is on every February and held on South Beach in Port Dension. Kitesurfers from all over the state and sometimes further abroad spend time here. This is quite an event to see.
Wildflower season runs between August and October and many travellers spend time here exploring and finding the many species the area has to offer including the magnificent Wreath Flower.
Lawn bowls, golf and Motocross carnivals run regularly throughout the year and the town has a new recreation centre with facilities including an equipped gym. The golf course is superb and not to be missed.
Ellendale Pool is a special place just north of Dongara Denison where one can spend time picnicking and relaxing. Or perhaps spend some time at Greenough finding out more about the history of the area.
