While you can’t travel everywhere right now, we want to indulge your travel bug. Welcome to our virtual lap of Australia. We will show you some of our favourite places along the way, feeding your visual senses and creating some serious travel inspo.
Starting in Brisbane – Queensland we’ll work our way down through New South Wales, around Victoria, and all the way to the southernmost tip of Tasmania. We’ll head back up along the South West through South Australia and around west to Western Australia. We’ll then travel up north to the Northern Territory. Finally, we’ll go all the way back to Queensland; we’ll explore the tip-top of Australia and Cape York before heading back, ending our virtual lap of Australia on the Sunshine Coast.

Virtual Lap of Australia – part one
Let’s start our virtual lap of Australia in Queensland. Starting in Brisbane, we’ll head towards New South Wales. I know it seems as if we are leaving out a lot of great Queensland destinations. Don’t worry, we would never do such a thing! We will be looping back around and ending our tour in the sunshine state.
The beautiful and vibrant city of Brisbane is Australia’s third largest city and the capital of Queensland. Some of the must-do things in this modern city include:
- Indulging at Eat Street Markets.
- Taking a dip in Brisbane’s man-made beach in South Bank.
- Watching a sunset from the top of Mt. Cootha.
- Taking a selfie by the iconic BRISBANE sign in South Bank.
- Cuddling a koala and seeing native wildlife at Lone Pine Koala. Sanctuary.
- Seeing the city from above by taking a ride in the Wheel of Brisbane or walking up the Story Bridge.
- Escaping the city and hike one of the many nearby bush trails.

The Gold Coast is located on Australia’s east coast and is one of Australia’s best holiday destinations. The city is famed for its long sandy beaches and surfing spots.
The Goldy is packed with high-rise hotels and offers waterfront shopping, dining and a vibrant nightlife. Get your adrenaline pumping at one of the many nearby theme parks or escape to the green lungs of the Gold Coast, the Gold Coast Hinterland. Here you’ll discover waterfalls, vineyards and wonders such as Springbrook National Park’s Natural Bridge. Trail through the famous National Parks leading to hidden waterfalls and magical lookouts.
